NORM GOLDBERG SCHOLARSHIP
In continuation of our support for the American Orff-Schulwerk Association, MMB
Music is pleased to announce the Norm Goldberg Scholarship for Orff-Schulwerk Certification.
This award honors Norm Goldberg for his vision, passion, and tireless efforts toward
the establishment and growth of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association in the USA.
This scholarship provides the opportunity for financial assistance including tuition,
housing, and transportation to and from St Louis* for elementary music educators
to pursue Level I training in 2008. Additional support is provided from the Studio
49 Orff instrument factory in Munich, Germany and Webster University in St. Louis,
MO.
One recipient will be selected by an essay submitted to MMB Music as outlined below
for Level I study and certification at Webster University in St. Louis, MO, an AOSA-approved
teacher training course, July 14 – 25, 2008. Qualified applicants must be professional
music teachers and citizens of the USA or must have resided in the USA for the past
five years.
